U.S. Supreme Court Rejects E15 Case

Reuters writer Stephanie Kelly reported this week that, “The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday turned away an industry group’s bid to revive a decision made by the Environmental Protection Agency under former President Donald Trump to allow expanded sales of gasoline that has a higher ethanol blend, called E15.”

Omicron Disrupts Supermarket Supply Chains

Bloomberg writers Leslie Patton, Elizabeth Elkin, and Deena Shanker reported last week that, “The highly contagious omicron virus variant is disrupting already stressed food supply chains, sickening so many workers that more shortages at grocery stores are all but certain.”

Iowa Farmland Values Up 29%

A news release Tuesday from the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development at Iowa State University and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach indicated that, “After several years of modest gains and losses, the average value of an acre of Iowa farmland skyrocketed 29% in 2021.”
